The Friends of St John's

Who are they?
The Friends of St. John's are a group of parents, school staff and people from the local community.

What do they do?
The group's main aim is to raise funds in order to buy " little extras" for school. Funds are raised in a variety of ways e.g. through the annual Garden Fete which is usually held in July and through events such as "60s" Dances, Discos, Race Nights, Car Boot Sales, Ceilidhs and stalls at venues around Boston Spa. The summer and Christmas Raffles are also highly successful fundraisers. In addition to planning fundraising events, The Friends also meet a couple of times a year to consider requests for funds from staff and pupils.

Where and when do they meet?
The Friends hold their lively and informal meetings in school and new members are always welcome. So, if you would like to help in any way please contact a member of the committee via the school.
