Friends of St John’s
Who are they?
The Friends of St John’s are a group of parents, school staff and people from the local community.
What do they do?
The group’s main aim is to raise funds to buy ‘little extras’ for school. Funds are raised in a variety of ways e.g. through the annual Garden Fete at the end of June, through the Christmas Fair, and through events such as ‘60s’ dances, casino nights, race nights, car boot sales and stalls at venues around Boston Spa. The summer and Christmas raffles are also highly successful fundraisers. In addition to planning fundraising events, The Friends also meet to consider requests for funds from staff and pupils.
Where and when do they meet?
The Friends hold their lively and informal meetings in school and new members are always welcome. So if you would like to help in any way please get in touch: email@example.com
