>> A model of how the Expressive Arts Resource (EAR) will look
Fundraising
Just over 18 months ago we launched the Expressive Arts Resource (EAR) Appeal to raise the necessary funds for a new Expressive Arts building. The building will have rooms for teaching, speech and language therapy and for rehearsals. It will have a small community style theatre at its heart (seating approximately 200 people) and a small hospitality area. This will give our pupils the best possible opportunities to develop their listening and speaking skills and to improve their self confidence. Since then we have been fortunate in securing grants from chartable trusts all over the country and this work is on going.

We have also held a number of fundraising events in and around school such as the highly successful ‘Jazz at St John’s’ evening featuring The Tina Featherstone Trio. Our most recent event was a champagne tasting at The Fennel restaurant in Wetherby. The evening gave everyone the chance to taste 8 champagnes to the value of over £400 and to raise £1,200 for the EAR Appeal in the process.

If you would like to support the EAR Appeal please get in touch and we will send you an information pack. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference..
