This is an exciting opportunity to join our school and be part of a team dedicated to improving the educational outcomes for all our young people, focusing strongly on their personal development and preparation for adult life.
St John’s Catholic school for the deaf caters for pupils with sensory impairments and communication difficulties, including autism. We offer day placements as well as term-time weekly boarding from Monday to Friday.
We are looking for a caring, dynamic and committed Head of Residential Care who can contribute to our continuous drive for improvement and maintain our OFSTED judgement of Outstanding. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational aspects of the boarding provision and will be the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Sixth Form Learning Mentors
We are looking for dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting young people to achieve in a range of courses at either York or Askham Bryan FE colleges. You will be based at one of the York colleges as part of a team working with St John’s students. Our students follow a range of vocational and academic courses.
