Sport Relief Fun!
Students and staff joined together to make the recent Sport Relief event a huge success.
Head of PE Kate Pirie arranged a day where all members of the school, staff and pupils, were encouraged to come along in sportswear and be active.
In the gym a fun circuit was set up and classes and staff came throughout the day to walk, jog or run for 20 minutes to make sure they “Moved for a Mile”.
Everyone got involved in the day which saw care staff, kitchen team members, domestic staff and teachers take part alongside the children.
Kate said: “It was an amazing day for the whole school to chat and walk with different people. Some of the children collected sponsor money. The person with the highest total raised for Joshua in year 7 who raised a whopping £50 which was fantastic.
“Pupils also bought wristbands and the grand total for the day’s activities was £174 for Sport Relief. We’re delighted with how the day went and everyone really enjoyed it.”
