Our warm and welcoming school building, with extensive indoor and outdoor space, is a wonderful place to learn.
The curriculum can follow different pathways depending on an individual child’s needs, but is always focused on helping them meet their potential and achieve the goals which are meaningful and useful to them. For some that will include GCSEs, Entry Level Awards or Diplomas and A-Levels. For others that will include ASDAN and vocational qualifications.
Small class sizes, dedicated learning spaces including a vibrant art room, well-equipped music room (including recording booth), food and technology room, large indoor sports hall, science laboratory and drama room, including state-of-the-art technology and mixing desk. We also have a varied and well-stocked library, IT suite and extensive design and technology room. There are also dedicated sensory rooms and soft play room.
Outside we have a sensory garden, outdoor learning and play spaces for all age-groups, multi-purpose sports court, football pitches, a poly tunnel, birds of prey and a very popular flock of chickens who the pupils love looking after.
Form Groups are structured around age groups but not strictly around Year Groups or Key Stages. All of our forms are named after inspiring people who have special needs and include Bochelli, Edison and Harrop.
