How the Day Is Structured
To help young people remain engaged with learning, our school day is structured to include regular breaks for play and socialising. Lesson times are shorter. The average school day may look like:
The school day starts at 8.55 a.m.
Breaktime is 10.30 – 10.50 a.m.
Lunchtime is 12.25 – 1.25 p.m.
The school day ends at 3.35 p.m. (Mon – Thurs)
On Friday school finishes at 2.55 p.m.
All of the training days at St John’s are on a Friday and pupils would finish school at 3.35 p.m. on the Thursday
At Christmas, Easter and Summer, school closes at 12.30 p.m. on the last day of term.
Assemblies are held every Monday at 9.10 a.m. and Friday at 2.40 p.m.
