All pupils in years 9, 10 and 11 have a careers lesson every week and in years 10 and 11 pupils have a week of work experience. The careers programme prepares pupils for the choices they face at the end of year 11 i.e. employment, work based learning or college. Work experience placements can either be arranged by parents, close to their home or through the school’s work experience co-ordinator who has contacts within a number of companies in and around Boston Spa.
